Main St. Alice, Texas Dateline: Alice, Texas Charlyne Lindholm Davis age 89 On the morning of December 19, 2015, Charlyne Lindholm Davis (Granny), 89, was called to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She passed away peacefully in the presence of her loving daughter Deborah. Granny was born on February 17, 1926. She was the second of three daughters of Charles Scott and Eva Lindholm. Granny was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She grew up in Gussetville, Texas (by George West). She later made her home in Alice Texas with her loving husband Harold James Davis (Paw Paw) of 34 years who preceded her in death in 1985. She loved traveling with Paw Paw and had a passion for life and the family she adored. Granny was a devout catholic and a member of the St. Elizabeth Church. Granny was not just her nickname it was her true meaning. Granny was a grandma to everyone, family and friends alike Granny had many accomplishments and they revolved around taking care of others. She worked alongside her husband at the family owned Davis Furniture Store in Alice, Texas. She loved to cook. She took care of the Altar boys clothing at her church. Her involvement with church and family was a true testament to her caring nature. Granny is preceded in death by her husband Harold James Davis (Paw Paw), her parents Charles Scott and Eva Lindholm, and her older sister Audrey Ratliff. Granny is survived by her sister Alice Glade of Houston, Texas; daughters Deborah Ann (Theodore) Steelhammer of Corpus Christi, Texas and Gail Diane (Darrel Edwards) Davis of Beeville, Texas; grandchildren Ryan (Nelda) Steelhammer, Keith (Nicole) Steelhammer of Corpus Christi, Texas, Lisa (Chris) Weir of Alice, Texas, and Chris Kinard of Beeville, Texas. Granny has 5 great-grandchildren, Sidney, Rhianna and Simon Steelhammer, Rylee Weir and Evan Steelhammer. She also has one more great-grandson to be born any day now. Graveside Funeral Services are scheduled for Wednesday, Dec. 23, 2015 at 2PM in the Roselawn Cemetery in Alice, Tx. Services entrusted to Roberson Funeral Home of Alice, Tx.
