Robert and Ida danced through this life together, raising their four children and working hard to provide for their family over the last 38 years. Robert was a welder by trade and cowboy by choice, when he wasn’t working you could find him at a local arena enjoying his free time. Robert always had a smile on his face when he was spending time with is grandbabies and sharing his love of horses, BBQ, and his dog with them. Robert knew how to have a good time and could often be found having a drink with family or friends, throwing his famous gritos, and taking Ida for a vuelta around the dance floor. As Robert would always say, “I can’t wait until tomorrow…because I get better looking everyday!” On Sunday, November 28, Robert was with friends practicing roping steers, when a tragic accident took the life of this lifelong horseman. We are shocked by his sudden death but thankful that he was doing something he loved. We will miss him everyday but we are grateful for the memories he left us with.
