Mary Lou Nance-Ivey

September 14, 1926 - February 5, 2018

Dateline: George West Tx Mary Lou (Daniels) Nance-Ivey, 91, of Midlothian and formerly of George West, died Monday, Feb. 5, 2018. Mrs. Nance-Ivey was born Sept. 14, 1926, in Omaha, Nebraska, to Mary Ann Clare O’Connor and Christopher Columbus Daniels. She graduated from The Saint John High School in Omaha, and worked in the Financial Office of the Texaco Oil Refinery in El Paso where she retired in 1990. She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband and the father of her children, Tom F. Nance Jr.; her second husband, A. Harold Ivey; a sister, Lucy Parker; and a brother, Tom Daniels. Survivors include four sons, Tom Nance III, Danny Nance, Jerry Nance and Jimbo Nance; seven daughters, Ann Wilbourn, Lucy Peggy Nicholas, Nora Nance, Colleen Nance, Eileen Wright, Ellen Nance and Maura Jo Jepsen; 46 grandchildren; 122 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great grandchildren. Visitation will be held Friday, Feb. 9, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Roberson Funeral Home. A rosary to be recited there that evening at 7 o’clock. The funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 10, at St. George Catholic Church in George West. Burial following at the Gussettville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent in her name to El Pasoans For Life Inc. Arrangements were entrusted to Roberson Funeral Home, Three Rivers.
