Mary Jane Wyro

Mary Jane (Perry) Wyro at the age of 72, passed away in a San Antonio hospital Sunday, December 23, 2018, after an extended illness, surrounded by her family. She was a lifelong member of West Main Baptist Church where she was Sunday School Director and teacher. She was also Missions Director and organized and led two successful missions in Wheelright, KY and Anadarko, OK, to teach Vacation Bible School to underprivileged children. She was born May 24, 1946 to Grace and J.D. Pitts in Freer, TX where she was raised until her family moved to Alice, TX over six decades ago. She graduated from William Adams High School where she went on to study bookkeeping at Bee County College. She was Office Manager and bookkeeper for 38 years to Tideport Petroleum, which was then bought and named Coyote Fuels. She was a member of Alice Desk and Derek, Lions Club, and two Bunco Clubs. She is preceded in death by her mother, Grace Pitts, a teacher and homemaker, her father, J.D. Pitts, a truck driver, her younger brother Kenneth Ray Pitts, niece and nephew Kathy and Kenneth Wayne Pitts. Survivors are her husband of 25 years, Peter L. Wyro, her sister Patricia Heirholzer (James) of Fashing, TX, brother Gary Pitts (Betty) of Nashville, TN., her son Martin Allen Perry, Sr. (Angela) of Corpus Christi, TX and daughter Molly Ann Vickers of Alice, TX. Granddaughters: Brandy Perry (Maggie), Morgan Vickers Hernandez (Andres), Ashley Perry, Erin Vickers, and grandsons Martin Perry, Jr. (Amanda) and Harley Vickers (Taylor). She is also survived by great grandsons Logan Hernandez, Martin “Trey” Perry, III, Alexander Perry, Fenix Hernandez, and great granddaughters Keara Cavazos, Lily Hernandez, Eden Cavazos, Kailei Perry, Scarlett Hernandez, and Brexley Vickers. As well as numerous nephews, nieces, and cousins. Visitation will begin on Thursday, Dec. 27, 2018 from 5 to 9PM at the West Main Baptist church 1001 W. Main St. Alice, Tx. Funeral Services will be conducted Friday, Dec. 28, 2018 at 10AM at the West Main Baptist Church with Bro Ross Dudney Officiating. Burial will follow in the Alice Cemetery.
