Maria "Terry" Moreno

Maria Teresa Moreno, "Terry", entered into eternal rest on Thursday November 30, 2023 surrounded by her loving family. Terry was born on Sept. 12th, 1944 in Alice, TX to Juan C. Monsevais and Juanita M. Monsevais. She attended William Adams High School and graduated in 1963. As the second oldest daughter of 13, Terry helped her mother raise and care for her younger siblings but didn't stop there, she continued throughout her life to care for all of her nieces and nephews and loved them all as her children. She worked many years in retail stores such as Haggar Clothing, Dress for Less, and Goodwill. She worked 30 years as a provider, doing what she did best, caring for others, to the late George and Joy Reed. Terry enjoyed the simple life, her hobbies included listening to music, sewing, baking, making crafts, and visiting with family and friends. She especially enjoyed her weekends traveling with her husband, Sonny, to new towns and game rooms. She is preceded in death by her parents, Juan C. Monsevais and Juanita M. Martinez, brothers- Abel (Lydia ✝) Monsevais, Joe Monsevias, and Jose Angel Martinez, sisters- Zulema Rodriguez and Yolanda Buentello, brother in law Manuel Rodriguez. She is survived by her husband of 30 years, Issac F. Moreno "Sonny", four brothers- Frank (Rosie) Monsevais of Kingsville, TX; Raul (Audelia) Monsevais of Edinburg, TX; Rick (Olga) Monsevais of Alice, TX; Daniel (Nancy) Monsevais of Alice, TX; three sisters- Juanita "Janie" Rodriguez; Olga Monsevais; Diana (Ruben) Gonzalez all of Alice, TX; and Dee Stallings, a close family friend, like a sister, numerous nephews, nieces, cousins, in laws and family. Pallbearers will be all of Terry's nephews, Juan Rodriguez Jr, Frank Rodriguez, Frank Monsevais Jr, Fred Monsevais, Jon Rick Monsevais, Gabriel Monsevais, Juan Jose Monsevais, Jose Luis Monsevais, Daniel Monsevais, Eli Martinez, Juan Ruben Gonzalez, and Ruben M Gonzalez. Honorary pallbearers will be Tamara Gonzalez, Mark Salazar, and Mark Axel Salazar, Mark Salazar. Visitation will begin on Saturday, Dec. 2, 2023 from 9AM until 10:30AM in the Roberson Funeral Home Chapel with a Rosary to be recited at 10AM and a Funeral Service to be held at 10:30AM. Burial will follow int he Alice Cemetery.
