Dateline: Alice, Texas Johnny Jackson Born : John Orbie Jackson March 14, 1932 - January 01, 2022 Johnny was born to Earl and Oeader Higgins Jackson in Kosse, Texas. He married Pamela Joy Moran and together they raised their two sons and two daughters in a home built by him. He was a hard working man. Family meant the world to him. He was so talented, in recent years he loved working with his leather. He taught the grandchildren to braid using the leather. He started working for Mr. Boland at Alice Upholstery Shop. Then he started his lifelong career in the Oilfield. His casual dress was overalls and he always had his boots on. He was a cowboy. He enjoyed making knife shealths, Gun Holsters, Cell phone cases and key chains with leather. He was a welder and made many a barbeque pit. He was old school Oilfield. Driller and Toolpusher. Oil was in his blood. He worked many a crew. He was such a good cook. He made the best brisket and beans. He was a Mason. He was in a Band and played Bass Guitar and stand up Bass. He was.the best Daddy and an Amazing Pawpaw. He never met a stranger. If you were a friend, you were family. He was a wheeler dealer, trademaker and the best storyteller. He is so loved and will be missed by all who knew him. He is preceded in death by his wife, Pamela Jackson. His parents, Earl and Oeader Jackson and his in-laws Bert and Dorothy Moran. He is survived by his sons, John David Jackson of Alice. Bobby Joe (Kimberly) and children Jake, Josh, Justin and Jace Jackson of Arvada, Colorado. Daughters, Sandi (John) and children Ashley (Christopher) Lidy, Makala (Rudy) Martinez, Alexandria (Jesse) Adame and Shelby Lyn Thigpen all of Orange Grove, Texas. Jan (Steve) and children Dean Hinnant, Kristyn, Sommer, and Taylor McGuire all of Alice, Texas. Honorary Daughter, Christy (Kevin) and children Addyson and Brooke Boerger of Richmond, Texas. Two great grandchildren: Harper Adame and Jack Thigpen-Martinez. Sister, Edna (Kenneth) Adams of Alice, Texas. Their Children: David (Joann) Adams and Karolyn (Robert) Tenorio. Sister in Law Brenda (Robert) Klemcke of Liberty, Texas.Their children : Tracy (Michael) Horner and children, Jackie Klemcke, Bonnie (Mark) Wilkinson and children. Jessie (Sean) Smith and children and Megan Joey Petroski and children. A memorial service will be held Friday, January 7, 2022 at 5 pm at the Roberson Funeral Home Chapel. Services entrusted to Roberson Funeral Home Alice.
