Roberson Funeral Home 212 W. Hwy 72 Three Rivers, Tx. 78071 (361) 786-3666 Obituary Dateline: Corpus Christi, Tx. Frieda Elizabeth Taylor age 101, went to be with the Lord on May 25, 2013. She was born on Feb. 14, 1912 in Premont, Tx. to Charles and Anna Maderer. She was the next to the youngest of nine children. Freida attended school in Premont, graduating in 1930. She worked in several jobs before meeting the love of her life. Edgar Taylor. They were married in 1934 for 68 years until his passing in 2002. They traveled to different towns in South Texas, following his work in the oilfield, until settling in Kingsville when their only child, Pat, began school. They owned and operated Taylor's Trailer Park, which became home to many young people attending A&I College, some of whom have remained their lifelong friends. In the mid 70's they sold the park and moved to Edgar's sister's ranch in Three Rivers, Texas. They enjoyed living there until 2002 when Frieda lost Edgar in an auto accident that also severely injured her. Frieda learned to sew at a very young age and continued this hobby into her nineties. She did commercial sewing for a good number of years for extra money and loved doing it. She was well known for her handwork, especially her embroidery and her hand stitched quilts. She and Edgar loved living in the country and always had a large garden, sharing all kinds of vegetables with family and friends. For the past eleven years Frieda has resided at the assisted living facility Villa NW in Corpus Christi, where she made many loving friends and attended all the activities there. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Edgar, her parents, and all of her siblings. Frieda is survived by her daugher Pat (Harry) Rychetsky of Calallen; grandchildren Dena (Lynn) Trahan of The Woodlands, Ronald Ray (Barbara) Rychetsky of Calallen; great grandchldren Lacy Rychetsky and Fiance Morgan Cole, Riley Rychetsky, Luke Trahan, Joshua Trahan, and numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be grandsons, great grandsons, and nephew Billy Maderer. Funeral services will be held in Three Rivers at the Roberson Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday, May 28, at 3 PM with visitation from 1 to 3PM. Rev. Steve Exendine of the Liberty Baptist Church in Corpus Christi will officiate. The family would like to say a special thank you to Dr. M. Lovoi and his staff for many years of care, also to Legacy Hospice for tending to her needs the last few months, but most of all to the staff at the Villa NW for taking care of her the many years she lived there.
