Obituary for Brenda Holt Brenda Sue Creacy Holt was born in Corpus Christi, Tx on 11-7-1950 to parents, Phyllis Creacy and Bill Creacy. Brenda was raised in Corpus Christi, Tx, then moved to Alice, Tx where she met the love of her life, Ace Holt. At the age of 15, Brenda and Ace were married. Soon after their marriage, they had 3 children, Gary, Tammy and Gene. After raising her children and they moved off to start their own lives, Brenda felt the need to be a foster parent, where she took care of a 6 month old girl named Erica, along with many other children. When Erica was 18 months old, Brenda and Ace adopted Erica as their daughter. Brenda loved her children dearly and wanted nothing but the best for them all. Brenda served at West Main Baptist Church in many roles, and God was at the center of her life. Brenda worked at H&R Block preparing taxes, and then she felt the calling to become a nurse, where she attended school for LVN and worked in the labor and delivery. She continued her education to become a Registered Nurse, where she graduated with honors. Brenda had a passion for teaching and became an instructor for Coastal Bend College as an LVN instructor. Brenda was well loved by everyone and helped over 1000 people become nurses through her teaching. Then she changed to work at Alice High School with the HOSA program and taught many students with help getting their certificates for CNA and Pharmacy Tech. Brenda loved to run into her former students and see how far they had become in their careers. Brenda was preceded in death by her mother Phyllis Creacy Jaschke, her father William (Bill) Creacy, her husband Clarence (Ace) Holt, and her brother James (Pat) Creacy. Survived by: Sons: Gary Holt, Uvalde, TX, Gene (Michelle) Holt, Midland, TX. Daughters: Tammy (Darrin) Witten, Quamah, Tx. and Erica Holt- Corpus Christi, Tx, 11 Grandchildren and 5 great Grandchildren, with 1 more on the way. 3 Brothers: Mike (Pam) Creacy, Corpus Christi, Tx., David (Connie) Creacy of Mathis, Tx. and John Creacy of Kerrville, Tx. Sisters: Debbie Carter of Mathis, Tx., Cindy (Stafford) Frazier of Corpus Christi, Tx. and Becky (Alfredo) Rendon of Kerrville,Tx., many Nephews, Nieces, Cousins, Aunts, and Friends that she loved. Viewing will be held on Friday, Nov. 30, 2018 at Roberson’s Funeral Home in Alice, TX from 6pm-8pm.
